Apprendre le français
Today is August 31, 2014 and my first day on the way to master French to a level B2 which is what is need for work in the humanitarian organizations and is also enough to pass the TEFAQ french language exam in order to immigrate to the Quebec province in Canada.
I’m creating this blog as an online tool to document my:
- hopefully daily lessons
- incremental progress
- exciting news in learning this language.
I should say that I am not a total beginner in French, though my knowledge is very basic. I participated only in several sessions of French classes (10 the most), but frankly I think it does not count. The most of the French I can understand or speak comes either from what I’ve studied myself or from my knowledge of Spanish.
I think in general I have a good aptitude for learning languages. I’m also very motivated and determined. I know I will know French in a year on an advanced level enough to communicate, read news and listen to the TV.
My plan is to conquer French grammar enough to make correct sentences, questions and tenses used in the spoken language. At the moment I’m starting with mastering grammar using the Schaum’s Outline of French Grammar and practicing comprehension through watching French in Action.
