“They gave the job to who?” is a question asked on both sides of any age line. Yep, age matters a lot.
The converse of what you’re writing about is also true — some managers in the tech field see age and experience as a lack of ideas and innovation.
They believe that age is the deciding factor in determining whether or not someone will have ideas, will be able to embrace change, and will be flexible enough to find a unique solution to a problem.
This belief is equally as wrong as the belief that people with less experience have nothing to offer.
