The Chicago-based couple Irene Michaels and Arny Granat, hosted an intimate evening at George Berges Gallery in the heart of SoHo to celebrate their Resident cover.

Tasty hors d’oeuvres and wine was served to guests including Resident Publisher Christopher Pape, actress Deborah Kuhn, artist Susan Barron, and Maxim cover girl Janel Tanna, who browsed through the stylish couple’s spread in Resident guests, and admired the art on the wall.

Irene Michaels is a Chicago-based entrepreneur, philanthropist, equestrian and beauty and lifestyle expert. She has her own anti-aging skincare line called I On Youth Collection by Irene Michaels™. In the early 2000’s, Irene launched I On The Scene, a culture, fashion, and beauty site that publishes exciting content on the biggest entertainment news in Chicago, New York, and Los Angeles and overseas. Due to the success of the site, Irene was given the title of Contributor at HuffPost in 2014 where she writes about issues as diverse travel, relationships, pets, healthy living and beauty secrets. Through I On The Scene, Irene has covered red-carpet events including the Tony Awards, the Grammy Awards, the Golden Globe, and the Academy Awards, and she has interviewed numerous celebrities including Al Pacino, Dolly Parton, Bette Midler, Vanessa Redgrave, Quentin Tarantino, Harry Connick Jr, Oscar de la Renta, Cindy Crawford, Christy Brinkley, and Arianna Huffington.

Arny Granat is concert and theatre producer, who co-founded Jam Productions in 1972 and oversaw its growth into one of the largest independent producers of live entertainment in North America. He is the current CEO and Founder of Grand Slam Productions and is currently working on a series of projects with Outback Concerts and Jam Theatricals, which under Granat’s co-direction received a total of ten Tony Awards® and managed subscription seasons in 27 cities. Granat is promoting concerts in addition to producing a travelling circus featuring the famous wire walker Nik Wallenda; bringing a Christmas Light Show extravaganza from London to Chicago in 2019 before rolling it out nationally; and producing a movie based on the book, My Last Skirt. Granat is also writing a book, titled I Said This, But I Meant That.
