An Open Letter To My CEO

Come to Omaha, Nebraska. Right out of college, you can get a job with a wage that is sufficient to afford an apartment and food. I’m not promising anything fantastic in terms of wages or a job, but you definitely would be able to afford to eat and pay rent and not end up working at a fast food joint. You can rent an apartment for one person for $500 a month (probably a studio). There’s a pretty good local music scene and nightlife scene that isn’t super expensive. The thing is we (i.e. people in Omaha) know that there may be more going on in terms of arts or culture on the coasts, but most of us wouldn’t trade our full bellies and relatively affordable housing (in comparison) for that. And what use is it to live somewhere “cool” if you don’t have the money to enjoy it?
