This is not a scam. Lulu is a distributor, not a retailer, in this case. I see they’ve distributed your book to The Book Depository, probably the best retailer for foreign sales of print books. You should be pleased. If the book sells at the Book Depository, you will get a royalty. Just the way Ingraham distributes to your local bookstore. You don’t get royalties from Ingraham. You get paid if our local bookstore sells the book. That’s how the business works. And as for all those third party sellers on Amazon — those are used booksellers. Often they don’t have a book in stock, but they will go and search for it in other used book retailers if somebody wants it. There’s nothing scammy about selling used books. Authors never get royalties on used books, unfortunately.
