Annette Lyon is a USA Today bestselling and award-winning writer of women’s fiction and romance. As the child of a bibliophile and a linguist, she was drawn to writing at a young age, when she piled pillows and blankets on a chair to reach her mother’s typewriter. Though she’s well-known for her editing and word-nerdery skills and appreciated for her cookbook, Chocolate Never Faileth, her heart has always belonged to writing fiction.

She lives in the Rocky Mountains near her four grown children, one granddaughter, and Fiona, a geriatric flame-tipped Siamese cat with an attitude. When she's not writing, knitting, reading, or eating chocolate, she's likely ignoring the spots on the kitchen floor and binge-watching Gilmore Girls or Criminal Minds with her husband.
