Loved this! An although it’s aimed ( I assume) at young, supple people looking for lifetime partners , or at least “ couple month partners” the same could be said of us oldsters.. we definitely don’t want somebody who reminds us one iota of our exes, we don’t want to change for anyone, and we don’t want to have to become a Defacto member of their community, just by our presence at a couple of functions. We want intimacy, and sex, and companionship , but not necessarily all of the time. But when we do, we want to feel special, as if the attention being bestowed is personal, and not just dating behavior. The thought of long term relationships brings on the horrors of watching someone get seriously ill, or undergo a life change that requires some sort of unwavering support, and god forbid, love… so we keep swiping, trying to fill that void until the next candidate comes along, or we decide we’re done with partnering… let this be a cautionary tale to all you swipers!
