The imprisonment of the mind- Your mind is the only thing in your whole entire body that runs freely without a filter, without that millisecond of a pause to then determine if what you’re thinking is right or wrong. The mind of an individual is one of the only things that makes one free, if not the only thing. Now, why does the mind feel imprisoned? Why do you feel like the floating thoughts conjured up in that mind keeps building up and bumping into one another? Like solid molecules, vibrating against each other, creating friction which results in the exterior facade of what we call stress/Overthinking. Do we really overthink? Do we have a choice in what we think about? How much we think about it? If that were the case, I don’t think 99.9% of us will repeatedly think how we messed up in that previous relationship? If we did something wrong? Why she is not talking to you? How I ended up here? There’s no remote, no device to control our mind and what runs through it, just distractions. Your mind is a personality on its own, it has its own interior concept, it could be Grundy and edgy, really stale and harsh but with the filter, you display elegance and acuteness. Your mind screams and tells No, but you ignore it for that moment and say YES- Hence, you have imprisoned your thoughts in your mind.
