Ann Litts, I’ve been in the hospital several times, some for surgeries, some for other things — and the one thing I noted most of all, was that it was the NURSES who cared — the doctors seemed to either ignore me, or actually be rude, or acted like I was “putting them out” in some way or the other. That didn’t happen with NURSES, and in fact, when I was overnight in the cardiac ICU, a nurse sat in the room with me all night long — and it occurred to her that I might be low on Magnesium, due to having been prescribed Nexium at way too high a dose and for at least two years daily. I told her that, and she managed to add a lab test for magnesium levels for me to the chart — and she was right. I was SO low that I needed magnesium immediately. Once out of the hospital, I took magnesium citrate daily — and that alone has made me feel better in every way. I thank all nurses because they are the ones who CARE.

Thank God for NURSES!
