Alipay changes life
Most of you might haven’t heard Alipay. Well, you can assume Alipay as the Chinese version of Paypal. It is a third party online payment platform launched in China in 2004 by Alibaba Group and its founder Jack Ma. Alipay had the biggest market share in China with 400 million users and control of just under half of China’s online payment market in October 2016 according to an analyst research report. And since 2014 Alipay is the world’s largest mobile and online payment platform.
Before I went to New York, I used Alipay almost everyday in China. With Alipay, you can have an easy access for the paying of your daily expenses. For example, you can use Alipay for your water, electricity and gas fee monthly. You don’t have to go the gas company to pay your fee. It’s just one click away. And for your monthly cellular phone recharging, your cable TV, your credit card bill, you might use Alipay to pay as well.
When you want to travel to somewhere, you can use Alipay to check and buy tickets. Airlines, Trains and bus tickets are all included. What is more, you can also book your hotel on Alipay. When you arrive the city that you are visiting, you can easily check the yummy restaurants on Alipay. It’s also location oriented and can be customized according to your preference. After you decide where to eat, you can use Alipay to call a taxi or a Uber to take you to the restaurant. You can use Alipay to pay for the meal, too. With Alipay, you don’t need to have cash with you in every city in China.
Besides the daily expenses, Alipay also does a good job in financing function. Users can save the money in the Alipay and receive some revenue on a regular basis. For example, you can save money in Alipay and use those money to pay, transfer or withdraw in the same day. Meanwhile, people can get a small part of proceeds on a daily basis which in terms of the amount of saving money. And the interest rate is higher than traditional banks and money are more flexibly managed. So Alipay is really popular.
Alipay is really a great App that I have ever used. It’s so amazing. It has totally changed the lifestyle. In China, all you need to take with you is just a phone with Alipay. Nothing else.
