This is a terrific piece, that reminds me of what makes any character great (whether in a television show or a book or maybe, in real life?): it’s never black and white. There are amazing things about Claire — her cool, her intelligence, her ability to engage with people so effectively, and yes, her wardrobe. But she’s conniving and power hungry and complicated. The characters that leave us confused (whose personalities we both like and dislike, who simultaneously pull us in and push us away) — aren’t these the most interesting? Perhaps this fourth season is better than the third because we have more Claire to both frustrate and delight us? Thank you Abby Norman.
