The thing is, when you apply even the most basic of critical thinking to the article, the argument that Pokemon Go is a death sentence falls apart. What specifically about Pokemon Go is a death sentence? The article talks about walking around in circles looking at your phone. I’m sure plenty of black people have been doing that for years looking at their GPS, or playing other GPS based games. There is nothing specifically about Pokemon Go that would mean a black person should fear police violence as a result anymore than playing Angry Birds. This article tries to take something that is trending and relate it (poorly) to news of the day.
