№. 22 Getting your girlfriend to take “candid” photos of you looking ponderous in the mountains is acceptable, occasionally.

I’m not sure why I do this, or why it’s 21, but I’ve done it for 2016 and 2017, so I’m doing it again:

  1. When talking about your mental health, it’s not about who you feel closest too, it’s about who you feel safest with
  2. There is such a thing as too much mental health
  3. Growth is often on the other side of fear
  4. With change comes loss and uncertainty
  5. People, on the whole, are genuinely good and want to do good
  6. Being honest with people is hard, but it is a gift to them
  7. The people closest to you are your mirror for what you cannot see about yourself
  8. You are responsible for your mental health, yet there are many things in that life that you cannot control
  9. When you get good at being vulnerable, you’re not being vulnerable any more
  10. Being truly vulnerable requires great courage and bravery
  11. People are very complex, that’s what makes us all wonderful and wonderfully difficult
  12. Creativity is a process, not a thing you have
  13. Everyone has the capacity to create
  14. Everyone has the capacity to lead
  15. Growth often happens after you slow down
  16. I am more than my work
  17. We’re all addicted to something in some way
  18. For the majority, we all think way too much
  19. Constraints breed creativity (like right now)
  20. The need to be right and for it to be my way, was holding me back
  21. Therapy is great
