White Oppression
Close my eyes
Drifting eyes to shutter
Watch the world reverse to sleep
I dream of white people
Sleeping on Black supremacy
Dreams of oppression
Black cops shoot the white folks
Seeking justice but it’s clogged
By white noise
Marching white lives matter
Shouting “Hands up don’t shoot”
Brown batons slap ur wrist
Jolting at the stomach
Tear gas drowns your throat
You can’t scream
You see invisible power
A mirror whose reflection leaves blank
You try to see yourself but you can’t
You don’t matter
A system whose whiteness has turned Black
Black Melanin is the new white
They finally realized
White ruins the picture
Put white on melanin,
All it does is destroy color
You scream we matter
Stop being so sensitive
You feel neglected
White bodies crumble on stolen land
The Natives greet you in the ancient dirt
How does it feel to fall to colonialism
Your own grave
The world sees color
No whites allowed
This time
No white privilege can save you
You wake up
Breathing
In your supremacy
It was just a nightmare
For you
