What vegetables are recommended for patients with psoriasis

Vegetables have a reputation as a safe and very healthy food. But, psoriasis is such kind of disease in which some vegetables can be a threat.

Everyone knows that patient with this illness should prefer for his dietary diet mostly carbohydrates, it is only permitted a limited quantity of proteins.

Qualitative and useful for our bodies carbs, vitamins, and fiber we get from vegetables. But which of them are worthless for eating in case of psoriasis to take the most benefits? Definitely, you should include in your diet:

· Cabbage. White, Brussels or broccoli would be fine.

· Beetroot. It should be said that beet in psoriasis also has a laxative effect, helping to get rid of slags and toxins. However, it is better not to eat it constantly.

· Pumpkin. This vegetable allowed for eating only for people with a healthy digestive tract. It is really helpful for cleansing the body from poisons.

· Carrot. It is carotene-reach and influences on the skin pigmentation in a good way. It is advised for using in case of white stains remained after psoriasis plagues.

· Onion and garlic. Onions (spring onion and bulb onion) and garlic in psoriasis have an antibacterial effect. Their benefit for the body is in increasing immunity by killing bacteria. But in digestive tract diseases, it must be used only after thermal treatment. Some patients notice discomfort in the stomach after they eat garlic. In this situation better not to use it.

· Cucumbers. This nice vegetable contains water and minerals, has a diuretic effect and perfectly cleans the internal organs involved in the digestion process.

Telling about vegetables allowed for eating in psoriasis we can’t miss greens. These products certainly should be included in the diet:

• Asparagus;

• Celery;

• Green salad;

• Spinach;

• Dill;

  • Shallots and leeks (don’t use wild types!)

Actually, onions and psoriasis are should go hand in hand. Patients with this disease can use onion in both ways — ingestion and external use.

Which types of vegetables are not recommended:

· Potatoes in psoriasis are undesirable as a side dish. It contains a lot of starch and not so good for digestion and excreted from the organism. Vegetables with spicy or specific taste (sorrel, horseradish, eggplants) mustn’t be eaten.

· It is not recommended consuming in large amounts corn and beans, especially peas.

· Kidney beans are possible, but better to choose mostly white beans.

· Exclude cauliflower from the diet.

Red colored vegetables are prohibited. Except for tomatoes and beetroot, they don’t have a negative impact on psoriasis patients if only they haven’t the individual intolerance to these plant foods.
