Ansal Plaza hosted the 2nd Delhi Food Carnival on 27th and 28th January, 2018 at South Extension as the venue partner. With the theme being — ‘When Old Meets New,’ this fiesta featured live musical performances by Nizami Bandhu, renowned Qawwali group, of Rockstar fame, Hardy Sandhu, popular Punjabi singer and Tony Kakkar, the latest singing sensation.

Also in line with the theme — ‘When Old Meets New,’ were the dishes available at Delhi Food Carnival. The diverse cuisine ranged from the traditional Old Delhi dishes to the modern day new dishes. While there were stalls offering Kashmiri Wazwaan, chicken, kebabs, chaat, Indian sweets, and beverages, numerous food counters stuffed with pizzas, ice-creams, and noodles were also there. The options were so many, that the visitors were spoilt for choice! This festival stood true to its theme by beautifully blending the old with the new, a combination that is both unique and amazing.

Exciting games and food eating competitions like Paan Eating competition was also one of the interesting parts of the event. These competitions and fun games brought out the child in everyone and were thoroughly enjoyed by one and all. Shopping booths further added to the charm of the event and attracted huge crowd.

The Delhi Food Carnival was a treat for all the food and music lovers. It provided a common ground to both the local vendors from the city to showcase their dishes and promote their food outlets and also to the visitors to experience lip-smacking and diverse cuisines, wonderful music and exciting games all under one roof! The two day event was filled with fun and offered heavy dose of entertainment and enjoyment. It received an overwhelming response and was attended by more than 9,000 people.
