The Main Characters of the movie are:

ü Ahmed Zeb

ü Noman Sami

ü Fariya Hassan

ü Mustafa Qureshi ( Progressive Feudal Lord)

ü Saleem Mairaj (Slow-witted Feudal Lord)

Talash” movie portray the core subject of that time “Malnutrition” and highlight so many social issues like Child marriage, clandestine tradition or social taboos with Comedy, Action and Adventures scenes.

REVIEW ON CENTRAL SUBJECT OF MOVIE:

If we talk about its storyline, movie start with cheerful story of three medical students Fariya Hassan as Tania, Ahmed Zeb as Saleem, and Noman Sami as Khurram respectively. When I watched this movie I thought that like other Lollywood movies this picture has fun without real plot. You can say that a “storyline with purposeless idea”. Later, I recognized that this film has something new and has depth in its story line.

This movie takes substantial turn when medical students are sent to remote place in interior Sindh (Where death rate of children increase because of malnutrition) for camp. The main purpose of their camp to give awareness about this disease to those people who have not any idea about this curse. Because in that areas children are underfed, that’s why their growth stunned. After facing hardships or enemy too these two doctors (Fariya and Saleem) manage their camp to full-fill their professional duty. In this picture I also seen that society’s attitude towards treatment is intervene. The basic purpose of this movie is to aware those people about important issue. This is what I have seen best in this film.

REVIEW ON LANGUAGE:

The language of this movie is both Urdu and Sindhi. In some scenes, people of interior Sindh used Sindhi language or Urdu is mostly used in this movie. Because this film lead by doctors I haven’t seen any professional language like used of Register. According to me, there should be used of some professional words in order to elevate this movie further.

REVIEW ON SETTING:

By shed light on its setting the splendor of Sindh’s village life shown in shots like, rolling fields, and mud-house, beautiful landmarks can see in this movie. The setting of story directly represent the co-subject of movie. For-example; the subject matter of this movie is “Malnutrition” and it’s mostly seen in Thar, people are not well-educated or well-develop or heedless about the basic information. If I talk about other Pakistani movies their setting is not according to context, but Zeekay with good camera work managed to focus on actual storyline. Yes, we can say that its setting is according to context.

CRITICAL EVALUATION:

There are consequential issue with “Talash” like back and forth transition between serious and comedy scenes become bang means viewers are confused to distinguish between whether its comedy scene or serious one. There are issue with ill-suited messages. For example; during stay at Dhaba the scene where men commenting about Fariya’s look. There was music playing at background no one able to distinguish what to make of this. There is also miss-interpretation with ideas. For example; when doctor was giving instruction to lady about the importance of breast feeding with certain time limit after birth. The lady originate another meaning.

On the other hand, too much ideas are taking place at same time like physical abuse, underage marriage, Malnutrition and importance of breast feeding. The messy situation create between scenes each stage deal with an issues. The plot should be vivid and it would create clear picture of whole movie.

I would like to talk on it’s the character Fariya as Taniya seems little bit melodramatic in start of movie. The character Sami also seen non-serious in many major situation. We can say that characters are unpolished and not full developed throughout whole movie. The major character should be polished and must have transition phase in characters life. The role of Saleem Meiraj and Mustafa Qureshi is very minor. They both are feudal lords in movie or famous celebrity of Lollywood. Their existence is very crucial in movie, but they are lesson their role to few points in storyline. If director increase their role, in my view this film would have been uplifted further.
