How does society react to different types of changes: ‘Sudden’ and ‘Overtime.’
Let ‘s start by understanding what a change is; we can say that a change has taken place when things are different than usual. A change can be big or small depending on a personal perspective.
Recalling the last few years, it appears that the BJP government had demonetization and GST in the surprise box for us. Due to these decisions, a debate ground opened in the country. Some people did not like the surprise factor of it whereas some thought it was a necessary part of the change. There was a whole mess created in the country.
I will be explaining the whole society reaction to the change with the help of an experiment called ‘The Frog in Warm Water.’
‘The Frog In Warm Water’
Part 1: In this part, there is a container of boiling water, the bowl is not too thick. What we do is, we directly put the frog into the boiling water and observer its response to it.
Response: As soon as the frog touches the water it realizes that he can’t resist the warmness and immediately jumps off the container.
Part 2: In this part, we will be keeping the frog and water (at normal temp initially) in the pot from starting. Now we will save on heating until the water begins to boil, and notice the responses of the frog to the situation.
Response: This one is a bit tragic as the frog will die at the end. i.e., it will not jump out of the container, and the hot water will kill it.
=> The conclusion from the experiment is:
“Sometimes it is important to have sudden changes in life to realize what is happening around us. Otherwise, we will be trying to adapt to the environment, and then it will be too late to find out that there’s no way out.”
We can also relate this to as the frog is the society which is going through the same changes but at different paces.
“This tells us that the society only reacts to the sudden changes whereas keeps trying to adapt if the changes are slow until they realize its too late and there is no way out .”

So, here we can learn that sometimes a sudden change is also essential to develop, not only as a nation but it also can be implemented in our personal life.
“A new change also gives a new chance to prove ourselves”
