New Device Sign-In with Xfinity ID

If you sign in to My Account or an Xfinity app using a device or browser that you haven’t used to access your account before, we’ll send an email to the preferred email address on your account. The purpose of this notification is to ensure you are the only one signing in using your Xfinity ID and your credentials have not been compromised by hackers.

New Device Sign-In Notification

The email notification will provide the details of the sign-in, including when, where and how the sign-in occurred. If you didn’t attempt to sign in and you receive this message, please follow the link provided to review recent sign-in activity to ensure your account is secure.

Note: If you’re browsing in incognito mode or clearing cookies, you’ll receive additional notifications regarding a new sign-in.

Security Console

Clicking on View Recent Sign-in Activity in the email will provide a look into your sign-in history for the last 30 days (including location, device type, IP and time) and allow you to change your password if you see anything suspicious.

In addition, a list of “connected apps” displays with all the apps you’ve signed into, such as Xfinity xFi or Xfinity Home. You can unlink or sign out of each individual app you aren’t sure of, or sign out of all of them.

FAQs

Why did I receive a security notification about device sign-in?
We are committed to ensuring your Xfinity ID is secure and not being used by anyone you have not authorized to do so.

I received a security notification but did not sign in from another location/device. What should I do?
If you suspect suspicious activity on your account, we recommend changing your password as soon as possible using our self-service options.

You should also review your recent account or billing history to see if any unauthorized changes have been made.

If you have shared your Xfinity ID and password, it’s possible that whoever it’s been shared with is signing in. It’s recommended that each individual have their own Xfinity ID. Learn how to invite members of your household to create their own Xfinity ID here.

Note: These security emails may be triggered if you are signing in using incognito mode while browsing the Internet, have recently reset your cache/cookies or are using a different browser on the same PC/mobile device for the first time.

Can I opt out of receiving these emails?
These emails cannot be disabled because they are account security notifications.
