Hm. That’s an interesting take, Harry. Thanks for bringing it up. I don’t have much knowledge about how “successful” individuals may over-estimate their agency looking back on their journey. However, I would say there are plenty of stories I have heard of “successful” individuals who fully recognize they would have had no chance if not for their family, mentors, and supporters. But I will agree that anyone who claims to have gotten their “all by themselves” in deluding themselves.
