Designers love to see others succeed

I’ve seen the most cynical clients won over by design thinking. The design process creates commitment through involvement. Making sense out of complexity, helping to manage ambiguity, sparking innovation, and giving shape to transformation programmes. It’s a great way to give a project momentum.

Businesses may appreciate the value of creativity but there has been a shift away from commissioning larger projects. Instead moving to smaller, quicker, collaborative ways of working.

This approach needs tight multidisciplinary teams with enough experience to work at speed whilst thinking holistically. Bringing together stakeholders, researchers, consumer groups, techies, employees, logistics, PR folks and whoever else can contribute. Sharing the responsibility and success.

Collaboration is vital to realising results and the most successful projects are built on partnerships and the success of others.
