I share many of the sentiments expressed in your piece but I don’t think Owen Smith is the answer. Owen wants to take the party back whilst Jeremy doesn’t know how to take it forward. Neil Lawson, in a nod to Owen Jones’ much reported frustrations, has written: “We voted for the wave, not the surfer”
The Labour Party needs to take this moment as an opportunity to modernise, to find within itself a C21st leader.
