Much needed insight! Medium and other sites are plagued with the content you reference. Everyone wants to appear to have something to say, but there is little new under the sun regarding tone, approach, or ideology. Writers pretending to say something novel when they know it isn’t is a form of unnecessary and insulting self aggrandizement. Novelty and interesting approaches are key. Even when writers draft articles that dispense sage advice, they must remember that the rules for writing remain relevant: theme, character, structure, voice, and point of view all matter.
