Thanks for posting! Really interesting. I’m building up a graveyard of projects myself :) One thing I definitely see lacking is that you build something first, then try to find paying customers for it. You can iterate through projects / ideas much faster if you build a landing / facebook page for it first describing the idea, promote it to a few thousand people on facebook, and see if you get any signups / likes.
Collaborators are another good option, but definitely come at a cost. Not so much “cost” in terms of lost ownership or share (after all, 50% of something is much better than 100% of nothing), but once you have collaborators it instantly becomes much more like work — you have deadlines, accountability, etc. Can lead to a lot more emotional fatigue than fun side projects you have total ownership of, and you want to make sure you are not draining yourself for your day job.
