Boot Camp Experience, day 3
It’s day three and yet I feel like I’ve been doing this my all life. That’s how involving the experience has been. As day goes by I’m getting more amazed on how I have learned all these new stuffs in such a short period of time. I’m slowly finding my way around on how to use TDD (test codes) and also becoming quite comfortably pushing my codes to git getting the hang of it, I should say. After all, repetition remains the chisel of understanding and memory.
Repetition of the same thought and action develops into a habit which, repeated frequently enough, becomes an automatic reflex.
Looking at things retrospectively I can quite visibly see how Andela has changed me and totally transformed me in such a short period of time. I have increasingly evolved into a better manager of the resource of time. Being required to finish all of our daily assignments through a specific timeline has greatly shone the importance of having well set deadlines for one’s tasks. Its serves as an efficient tool for keeping oneself in check and remaining grounded.
I could say, my whole journey of becoming a developer ever since I first got introduced to programming has been very impactful in my life. Programming and software developing is almost like a force that makes the world go round (sorry to break it to you but your physics teacher lied to you, it has nothing to do with centrifugal and centripetal forces). Today I got my first experience in building a console application that consumes a web API and all I can think of now, is I don't want to live in a world that computer programming doesn't exist.
The Andela experience is quite epic, see what I did there?
