I completely agree with you.
The only time a college degree makes sense is for doctors, lawyers and other industries slow to change. The problem with, for example, a marketing degree is that the information you’re being fed is likely already 5–10 years old. You come out of college with no current information and as such, are vastly unprepared for the jobs that are available.
I’m actually lucky I figured this out. If I hadn’t I would still be in college right now instead of starting my own marketing agency. :)
