I saw colleagues from the neighboring village
I attended the presentation of the web service of one of the Perm companies and was surprised when he found himself in the girl’s face, which tells about the product. She was asked to teach a group of users. The show on the big screen, and a demonstration of all (!) possibilities.
As a result, sit thirty young idiots who have experience with PCs, phones, tablets and various software for at least 10 years. With backgrounds that allows intuitive to understand how to work in the service. And they listen to about what button to press, where it is located, and where there is an error warning. Fucked! Half an hour of torture.
She tried, but everyone was asleep. No fucking pedagogical methods have not helped.
At the same time the teacher sitting next to guys who lead the development of the service and say general words about the possibilities. Only those words would be enough! And printed instructions, which, thank a teacher, were given.
The situation is familiar and therefore sad.
The findings, dear colleagues, not fresh:
1. Learn audience. Young people still master yourself, because your product made by experts UI. Show them how to get to the service, tell us about the main features and options, no need to detail and “buttons”. But the pensioners, those who fear to press buttons to make a hard training, and repeat 10 times each action.
2. Your goal — user training? Give each perform their own training activities. Under the strict guidance. View on the screen — the worst training. How fucking players can watch screencasts foreign games?
3. Give the user at the hands of paper (yes, 2016) with instructions and contact tech support. The student has to be calm: I will come to the workplace, and all of the instructions do. I myself have on a number of activities not outstanding, but I promise to rectify the situation as it really works to improve the satisfaction of learning.
4. Before you sit the same fools and losers, even in the main building of your city, elegant and with the right permits. Keep calm. You better know the subject.
