How to get a Microsoft 365 demo tenant
If you’re looking to have a Microsoft 365 tenant for testing, the best way to do this is through the Microsoft 365 Developer Program, accessible in the Microsoft 365 Developer Center. With it, you get a free and renewable subscription of 90 days, of Microsoft 365 E5, for 25 users, and also with sample packages to load data (users, emails, etc …) and thus be able to simulate all the scenarios that we come up with, without having to disburse money, and in a controlled test environment. The only requirement is to have a Microsoft account, with which to join the program.
The step by step process would be:
- Join the program on the https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/dev-program page
- Once in the profile go to the Option Set Up Subscription
- In the provide dialog box: user, domain and password. This account will be the global administrator of your subscription.
From that moment, we will be able to access the Microsoft 365 Administration Center in https://admin.microsoft.com/AdminPortal/Home#/homepage with the credentials generated in the previous point, and start with our tests!
