2018 Power Rankings — Post Draft

The draft is over and hopes are high. There are 3 teams clear cut above the rest, 2 that look God awful and 7 close together in the middle. See where you fall below.

The Cellar Dwellers

12. Corey

Well, there’s not much to say about the 1st year owner. His team is awful. He has 3 players worth starting every week in Zeke, Tyreek and Amari, but more good D/ST than QBs, not a great start. Corey should firesale now, maybe even figure out a way to go back in time and firesale before/during the draft.

11. Bill

Strong TE squad, decent RBs, but the WRs? As the kids like to say, what are those??? Bill should firesale before the first MNF games.

The Muddled Middle

10. Cantone

If I recall correctly, Cantone was in last heading out of last years draft, so this is an improvement. Maybe we chalk it up to time zones or drafting half asleep but going into a season with 3 QBs of 9 career TD passes, a bottom 10 QB coming off knee surgery and Case Freakin’ Keenum, things won’t go well for you. Top flight TEs, above-average RBs and WRs, but my lord, those QBs will drag you down.

9. Foley

Terrible RBs, below average at QB (not a Dak believer) weigh down above average TE and the 2nd best WR unit. I guess if James Connor becomes the next Le’veon Bell, he rises up a few spots. But when Bell comes back, Foley fades into irrelevance.

8. Vince

Worst starting position for me ever heading into a season, I believe. If my grab-bag of RBs can just be above-league average, my best-in-league WRs should be able to carry me to a playoff run. But I have no TE to speak of and more questions at my 2nd QB. Someone send help. In the form of a trade. I need them.

7. Jared

I feel bad for Jared. Weeks of him and I going back and forth about which big names we were going after. Up until the draft we both assumed that he’d get AB and I’d get Bell. I can’t say that his holdout scared me, but I stopped bidding on Bell, which knocked out my biggest competition for AB. The rest, they say, is history. If Bell comes back soon, Jared moves to 4th. He has less of a TE unit than I do and I don’t love his QBs.

6. Dugan

Dugan isn’t going to read this since I’m only posting it to groupme. So F him and F anyone who sends it to him. This is for groupme chatters only.

5. Zurek

Zurek enters into his last year of below-market OBJ. Time for him to make his final run before he goes back to irrelevant status. Newton and Watson could be a great QB combo. He’d be a little higher if he didn’t have 0 WR depth after OBJ and TY. His RBs are so trash that one of them got cut from a team already. I think he’s one injury away from falling to Bill-level status.

4. Sherman

Great RBs and TEs, but after Micheal Thomas, he doesn’t have another start worthy WR (Jeffrey doesn’t count if he doesn’t play). If Ben is forced to throw 40+ times per game with no Bell, Sherman gets elevated a spot.

Not In The Middle, But Not Yet Elite

3. Jason

Best rankings all time ever for Jason, we’re all so proud of him. Brady/Rodgers combo is sexy and he’s get the best D/ST + K combo. #3 WR crew anchored by Keenan Allen and Davante Adams. I’m still considering Gordon a ?. If Gordon becomes less like Jared, Jason can move into the elite.

The 1%

2. Faybik

With the way Foles looks in this game, looks like we’re getting the non-SB version of Foles this year. Wentz, hurry back. The best RB squad with AP getting a starting nod and Morris becoming relevant. Great TE situation. Needs Larry to not fall off to father time this year and 1 of the rest of his poop squad of WRs (2nd worst in the league) to win the championship.
