San Jose Trump Protest
I have lived in the city of San Jose for the better half of ten years and last night was the most pathetic display of violence I have ever seen or heard of in this city. Each and every one of you involved should be ashamed of yourselves.
For those of you who might not be aware, last night Presidential candidate Donald Trump held a rally at the Convention Center here in San Jose, California.
After the rally ended, riots broke out. Dozens of people were assaulted, a group of people burned the American flag, along with Donald Trump campaign hats.
One lady who was wearing a Trump shirt, got eggs thrown at her.
Countless other Trump supporters were chased, although a significant amount of his supporters provoked the protesters.
It’s embarrassing. Violence has no place in politics. NONE.
If you are planning on being violent at a rally. Stay home.
If you are planning on harassing ANYONE. Stay home.
If you are planning on harming anyone. Stay home.
It doesn’t matter which candidate you support, we all need to work together, we all need to come together and fix this country.
“You cannot change your country if you cannot change your community.”
I wrote this quote a while back, and now is a good time to use it.
You’re all getting ready to vote for a man or woman to lead this country, but how can you be expected to pick the person to run a country if you cannot even work together in your communities to fix them?
If one person helps another person in their community, and another person helps them, and they help another person, then their group helps another group. Eventually one community will help another community, those communities will help a city, a city a state, and a state, a country.
I‘ve even started my own slogan. #MakeLifePositiveAgain.
Make life positive again. For yourselves. For each other.
Instead of tearing each other apart, focus on putting each other back together again. I get it, we all have different opinions, views and goals, but one thing we all have in common is eventually we’re going to leave this world.
So it’s time that we all worked together to make it a better place for those who come after us.
No matter who you support. Bernie, Hillary or Donald.
The only people you should worry about supporting are yourselves, and each other.
San Jose is good people. But just like every city across the nation right now, people are scared. Nobody, NOBODY, knows what’s going to happen in November and the coming months. So let’s all start right now.
Join me, and together let’s make life positive again.
