My Experience in Andela bootcamp so far — Homestudy Day 3

This is the third day of the Andela homestudy session and the experience is nothing short of awesome, challenging and worthwhile.

The Day 3 of the Homestudy session is a continuation of what we have been doing in the past days. Solve a bunch of exercises, improving your writing skills and most importantly meeting deadlines. No doubt, this experience is second to none if you really want to be a world class developer.

It took a me a while to get going on day 3 because I couldn’t do my normal routine of planning for the next day since the bootcamp started. I had to wake up early in the morning to plan my day and get going.

Day 3 tasks include solving a binary search problem, comparing an array to return the difference and cloning a simple user interface using HTML and CSS. The binary was really challenging for me because you had to learn Javascript prototyping, binary search algorithm and the concept of exporting modules in node JS. I never gave up trying to learn while doing the job and in the end it paid off.

It is now beginning to show that you really need others to succeed in this bootcamp. There is no man that is an island as we all know in part. So far, I have learnt a lot from my fellow bootcampers and it’s worth it.

Finally, today happen to be the final day of the homestudy session. I received an invitation for the group task which is expected to test our ability to work in a team. This will determine those who are going to make it to the next round of the bootcamp which I am hoping and definitely working hard to do.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
