Beautiful and aspiring English actress Jessica Rose Brown Findlay professionally well known as Jessica Brown Findlay came into spotlight at a very young age. This young talented actress was first seen in a short film, Man on a Motorcycle and her life took a ‘U’ turn later with her debut film in 2011 ‘Albatross’. The actress was then casted in Television show E4 programme ‘Misfits’ and she is best known for her role in the TV series ‘Downtown Abbey’ and was later seen in few good films and Television drama shows. This was just the beginning of her acting career and has won the hearts of millions of audience but she is yet to be established profession. The determined actress has already tried her hands playing various roles which brought her fame.
The 26-year-old actress was born on 14 September, 1989 in Cookham. Her mother, Beverley is a nurse and father Christopher Brown Findlay is into investment banking and works as a financial advisor. This young talented actress did not follow the footsteps of his parents, she wanted to make own identity. Since her childhood she began tasting success and was put into limelight with her dancing skills followed by performing arts. She was an experienced dancer, before entering into acting she dreamt of pursuing a life in the ballet at a very young age of 3. Despite being injured she needed three operations done on her ankle, with the third one being unsuccessful she can never dance again. She then finally changed her path into acting.
Jessica has been trained for years to be a ballerina and competed her initial training from the National Youth Ballet and the Associates of the Royal Ballet. When she was 15 she was asked to shake her legs with the Kirov at the Royal Opera House for a summer season. To complete her formal education, she joined Furze Platt Senior School in Maidenhead. Eventually to specialize in the performing arts Findlay then joined Arts Educational School and finally completed her course despite of not being able to dance again due to injury. Heartbroken, Brown Findlay then changed her path and went on to study a Fine Arts course at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, where she began acting classes.
Acting lessons have show incredible effect on Jessica Brown Findlay, she went to auditions and was spotted by a casting agent. She started her acting career on television series ‘The Misfits’ and was then casted for the role of Lady Sybil Crawley in a super hit series ‘Downton Abbey’ which turned her life and was seen in few TV roles which include Black Mirror, Labyrinth etc. In 2011 film ‘Albatross’ the aspiring actress starred in the lead role and for her performance she was nominated as the “Most Promising Newcomer” for the British Independent Film Awards and the Evening Standard British Film Awards.
Apart from to acting, Since 2012 Jessica Findlay is the brand ambassador of the London based jewelry brand, Dominic Jones. This British beauty has been named as the “new talent to watch” by Vanity Fair. She also starred in few good films, ‘Winter’s Tale’, ‘Lullaby’, ‘The Riot Club’ and ‘Victor Frankenstein’. She will be next seen in upcoming project ‘This Beautiful Fantastic’ which is at Post production stage.
