Install Splunk and Upload Data to Splunk
We can download the Splunk from the link given below: https://www.splunk.com/en_us/download/splunk-enterprise.html
Before starting, as you visit the official Splunk website, you will need to create a Splunk account. After that, your download will start.
we get the .msi package installer. You can choose either 32-bit or 64-bit version. It depends on system type that you are using.
After the download has completed, go to your default download path and double click on the installer package. The Splunk Enterprise Installer window appears on the screen.
Create the Username and Password for the administrator account. You must remember these credentials as it will be used further. After that click on the Next button.
Once Splunk is Installed it will redirect you to the browser and ask you for username and password, enter the credentials you have used while installation.
After successful installation and Sign-in, the following screen will be displayed.
Now that you have installed the Splunk on windows, you can add the data to splunk.
Click on Add data menu on home screen. you will have multiple options to get data into Splunk, we choose simplest option “Upload”.
Click on Upload option and select the file, here I am using csv file.
Click Next, the source type is auto selected, you can also see the supported source types.
Click Next, you can create a new index or select existing one from the list.

Review and submit, your data is now uploaded, you can start searching...
Click on “Start Searching” you can start querying your data and pull insights.
