JOURNAL REFLECTION

Although I was not able to attend the sessions fully however, the three days of attendance can never be considered as waste of time. The three days Lessons learnt can never be erased off memory. Initially when I heard of what we were going to be doing for the next two weeks I already felt bored before the start. Because I thought it was going to be storytelling and I hate stories. However, I got to understand that it was about telling our own stories not just ordinary storytelling.

Basically, I learned about how people prevent their actual self from been seen. However, we taught that only should always let his or her inner being to be seen. In order to do this, it was said that one has to be vulnerable. It was said that this necessary because it allows others to pin point our weakness to us and by so doing we are able to overcome them.

Also we learned about EQ (which is emotional quotience ). Initially I was familiar with IQ, therefore through this class I was able to learn about EQ. This was put into four quadrants. That is self, others at the top most part and action/ management, knowledge/awareness at the right corner of then quadrant. In general, high EQ was said to be been able to perceive and detect your own emotions.
