While thinking of the death penalty…
Anyone else think it’s hypocritical that the status quo is okay with our indirect death penalty? I mean… making money is fantastic and all if it puts food on the table, but for some reason we think that we deserve to starve to death or we’re all not allowed to afford insurance if we’re unable to work enough to pay for it. How is this okay to believe? It’s not like anyone here is capable anymore of making their own shoes, or capable of doing anything at their jobs without the supply of another’s labor or charity. We think we’re all these little bubbles of self-proficiency?
How? It’s impossible without essentially hermiting yourself from the technological age, moving into the woods, and killing animals, illegally, for your food.
If anything is more apparent in the world, it’s that excessive greed is unchecked and rampant, but ignored and excused enough to warrant others into such stress they slowly kill themselves from the inside. Our physical and mental instability depresses us all, but we seem to think its a self-imposed illness.
How are we collectively unable to hold blame for doing this to each other? We do it to other countries all the time — blame their entire population for keeping their sick and destitute in deplorable conditions. It doesn’t make sense to me why we can simply blame our government when we’re the ones voting them in. We’re the ones convinced by the ones with the most money that we can be like them.
Could it be that the reason our military is so big is because we’re the ones keeping the entire world hostage while we suck up the last remaining supplies of oil? How is it not obvious? How can we not even think twice about where the fuel for our used vehicles comes from, and what we’re doing to keep it coming? We perpetuate hostility with the Koreans we helped diverge into two countries over 50 years ago, and make weapons our enemies end up using against us. We proposition our own blood with violent video games and television shows to enjoy keeping these countries at bay like bullies. This is honorable and patriotic? How is it good to serve our country with stagnant, silent war efforts only to make it possible for the most wealthy to people hire million-dollar lobbyists and control half our democracy? It’s okay that our most prolific news centers are bribed to never mention these things?
Or could it be that we’re purposely being under-educated on climate change, world politics, and how our government functions? Is it possible that we’re being force to think liberals are crazy despite that the term, and every synonym for it is in the prospect of change — what our democracy is made for? Is it on purpose that we’re all being forced into desperate unemployment in a technological age to keep knives at each others necks? Is it right to be in constant fear of losing our jobs to pay for our basic needs while those with jobs are being told its because we’re not trying hard enough… Have we even considered the possibility that we’re not even allowed to healthy? Have we looked at how much sugar is in everything we buy? Have we checked out our food pyramid, wondered why we have to take vitamin supplements, or deal with the high prices of fresh produce despite that the infrastructure is subsidized?
…Could this suppression of things which matter and create a false demand for abundant supplies meant to keep us blind and proud of ourselves?
Stop being proud.
Until we knock down those who truly don’t care, we’re no better than they are.
If any of us want to be as rich, it won’t make a difference unless we’re all benefiting from the prosperity. A nation as impossible as a tree which never seeds or loses its leaves. And when the oil is gone, we’ll run on fumes and be crushed like Rome.
We need to be a nation which forces our rich to give to the poor regardless whether they want to or not. This is to save themselves. We must enforce welfare. We must enforce truth. We must enforce happiness. It is for our liberty and freedom that our dreams as children last our entire lifetimes. It is why we have a system of government which is capable of checking itself, finding itself unconstitutional, and breaking itself apart into something greater in perpetuity. This is meant to keep ourselves from being this corrupt. We need to wake up. We need to stop being blind.
