How Buyers can get custom quotes on the from freelancers

In this most recent video, Stef explains how to reach out to the Seller and get a custom quote from him or her.

Using freelancers on is simple

You (the Buyer) decide what needs doing, you find a freelancer, click Purchase if you agree with the price, and send your brief to the Seller to complete your work. The AnyTask™

Sellers generally put on their Task pages what is included in their Task, and the items and files they’ll deliver to you once the work is complete.

However, if you need more than what’s being offered, or you need to make a custom request, then the custom quote feature is something you may be interested in. In this quick tutorial video, you’re going to learn how to effectively use the custom quote feature.

Get a Custom Quote from a Seller

On the right-hand side of all Task pages, there’s a custom quote button labelled ‘Get Custom Quote’. Easy enough. This feature allows Buyers to request a little extra from Sellers, like an extra item within their designs, or two separate designs from your single brief. So, let’s dive into an example.

You’re a photographer, and you have ten photos that you need retouching for a client, but you don’t have time to do it yourself. You find a freelancer on that you like the look of, and their portfolio matches your needs, yet for the price of their Task, they’re only offering to retouch two photos.

How much are you willing to spend?

What can be done? You can click the custom quote button, and a popup will appear for you to fill in. Set your delivery time and tell them how much you’re willing to spend, and in the Task Requirements box, put in all the information the Seller will need to get the job done, like the fact you have 10 photos you need retouching.

Accept or reject

Once you’ve sent the custom quote, the Seller has the chance to either accept or reject the quote, and a dialogue will open between you and the freelancer. From here, you can discuss various aspects of the work you need completing, or the freelancer can ask you questions, or make changes to the custom quote if needed.

Relax, have a cup of tea

And from here, you can stick your feet up, make a cup of tea and wait for the freelancer to complete your work. Once finished, the AnyTask™ Platform will notify you that work has been delivered, and you can simply download the work to your computer. Don’t forget to leave a review for the Seller, as this will aid other customers who visit the Seller’s Task page in their purchasing decision.
