What’s All This Then?

Starting up

WORLD: Here’s the first blog post. Why?

Most days I feel my head is a potato sack full of 20 puzzles’ worth of pieces. This blog hopes to be the large oak table that summons me to make something of the mish-mash, to be the medium through which this mystic gibberish becomes intelligible. So be it puzzle, prophesy, or mashed potatoes, I hope to offer something for the mind, soul, and body.

Well, body in the sense that that’s where your happiness occurs. Ok, we’ll save that debate for a later post. I can’t actually make you dinner.

WORLD: That sounds great. But what are you talking about?

There comes a day for many students when they realize in their student angst that all the discussions they wished their classes held were happening somewhere else. In a way then these will be “the conversations I never had” (beginning with a rather tellingly poignant interview with myself), which I hope you find scintillating and refreshing when times seem flat and stale.

And nothing caps off our first beverage like a quote from J.W. von Goethe:

What is more valuable than gold? Light.
What is more precious than light? Conversation.
