Your argument makes little sense at best. At its core, your argument states that people who say “I don’t have time” simply use the phrase as an excuse for an unwillingness to sacrifice and an inability to prioritize. However, it is obvious that someone is making a sacrifice and prioritizing their time when they use this phrase — you just don’t like it when it’s used in the context of a lost subscriber. When someone uses this as an explanation for cancelling their membership, they really mean that they have looked at their commitments and decided that they value another use of their time more than being an active subscriber. A more accurate argument for why people should stop saying “I don’t have time” is that it is not a true statement on its face and instead alludes to a statement like “I have prioritized this task out of my schedule, and thus, I have allocated no time for this” which could be used as a replacement to avoid a miscommunication.
