~What Does The Sky Really Look Like?~
Gazing into the sky
Is like reflecting
Upon subconscious thoughts;
The imagination paints
Fluffy, white, Archetypical images
Onto that vast, blue canvas above us
& personifies them.
The Earth falls out from beneath our feat
As we momentarily lose ourselves
In the Ethereal, rolling images
That are infinitely morphing
Into abstract replicas
Of child like drawings
That our minds fingerpaint
In the sky.
We perceive beauty & perfection
In these external images
That externally do not exist,
But are rather pure subjective experiences.
We look into the sky
& we see a reflection
Of our own minds,
& the sky
Is lost.

NOTE: I wrote this on 09/16/2012. If I remember correctly I believe Robert M Pirsig’s Zen & The Art of Motorcycle Maintenance inspired this. . . The subject matter is relevant. That combined with the fact that this book came to mind while reading this & a faint hint of familiarity indicates that this is true .
