Absolutely agree. It’s been my experience that there are two different types of pressure:
- The stress and pressure of working for someone else. It comes from having to conform to someone else’s vision and standards.
- The stress and pressure of having to earn every dollar you get when you work for yourself.
What I’ve found is that while the second is frightening because it is literally tied to your survival, it’s easier to solve. The pressure can easily be relieved by simply working harder to ensure your livelihood.
The first type of pressure is nearly impossible to solve because the factors that control it are completely outside of your control.
In the end I think working for yourself is healthier for you than working for someone else.
