Service mind is the nature of people who have a heart or love in service. Most of them wish to work related to the service such as working in the hotel , tourism and recreation business etc. People who buy products and services in those business assuredly expect good services. These people will be called differently. It’s called tourist in tourism business , passenger in transportation business and customer or client in others. The staffs must make them feel that they are important and satisfied with services. Service providers should always show friendliness by greeting customers with smiling faces and beautiful words especially he or she always uses wonderful words to the customers such as “Thank you”, “I’m sorry”, “Excuse me, What could I do for you?” then followed by the customer name. In addition, The service mind staffs always pay attention to customers and show them the intention of services or solving problems even if it’s a little problem.
There are some examples of careers that require employees or staffs with service minds. The first one is flight attendant in airline business. He or she must be attentive, caring and understanding to the different passengers especially be responsible for the passengers’ safety. The other is waiter or waitress in food and beverages business. Service is one of the customers’ decisions to choose the place in which they’ll have. The customers expect a good first impression with greeting by a friendly , well groomed , smiling waiter.
In short, almost every business requires the service mind staffs because they’ll contact with the customers with friendliness to make a good impression. Furthermore, every time after the finished services, customer’s feelings may be satisfied and unsatisfied with the services. So if they feel positive, they’ll come back continuously and persuade other customers. This is the reason why most businesses focus on selecting employees who indeed love service.
