IMPORTANCE AND CONDITIONS OF ORPHANAGES IN INDIA

" They say I'm an orphan , maybe because I don't have my parents but I have someone who takes care of me . They say parents are the first teacher of one's life but I have someone who teaches me how to live a life. I have no sister, I have no brother but I have someone to play with me . I'm not alone I have my home , but they call it orphanage "

Historically, an orphanage is a place to reside , devoted to the care of orphans and children who were separated from their biological families or in common words orphanage is place where a those children are taken care of who have no one in their life whom they can refer as family no place to call as home no one who can take care of them .
According to the latest study by an international charity for orphaned and abandoned children it was found that currently India is home to 29.6 million orphans, and this figure is projected to increase by 2021. By the research international children’s charity it was found that only 4 percent of India’s child population are orphans and most of these children have been abandoned by their parents. In fact, it was estimated that only 0.3 per cent of these orphans are children whose parents have actually died.
But do you think for this large no. of orphans and abandoned children in our country we do have enough orphanages where we can provide them proper education, nutritious food , and a better future ? No !! Right ?
Well in India there are just 0.5% of all the orphans who get to, reach an orphanage where then the child has access to some food, limited education (only till age 14) and then at age 18, they left out to rag on the streets again!
You all must be thinking why there is such a small no. of children living in orphanages ? This is because one in five districts in the country does not have even a single orphanage and incase you get a orphanage out there then they don’t even have proper infrastructure and facilities
Orphanage which is the last hope of a orphan child where he can get a home, friends , and some one to take care of them or from where they can be adopted and get new family where they can have a hope of having a good future those orphanages don’t even have facilities to give them a basic happy and better life.
For this not only government but we general citizens should start taking some action like
✓ Collecting funds for these orphanages
✓ Donating in orphanages
✓ Helping NGOs like ApneLog NGO , who are working for the betterment of children who are living venerable lives
✓ Adopting children from orphanages so that those children can also lead to a better life
Etc.

Now it's high time to save our youth , our future generations , those innocent children to live a terrible life .

Happiness is not so much in having as sharing , we make living by what we get , but we make a life by what we give
