I think the above should be the main takeaway for any new comics with characters of colour that Marvel and DC have introduced lately. Instead of trying to be politically correct and simply having a new minority character who takes up the old mantle of an original legacy, comic creators must learn to market these characters as the legacies and heroes they are destined to leave and be, who just happen to be of a different race/religion/sexuality .
