2016: Year in Review

Now that we’re about two weeks into the new year, we thought it be a good time to take a look back on what made 2016 such a special year for us. This list includes many notable moments that brought us closer to our goal of making lead generation simple, seamless, and affordable.

March

Our story begins in March when we launched at SXSW. It was an exciting time for us as we entered the Austin startup scene and found ourselves among some of the most awarded startup companies in the nation.

Later that month, the Austin Business Journal did a piece on Apposphere, highlighting our focus on freelancers and small businesses. You can read that article here.

May

We were nominated to the Austin A-List 2016 by the Austin Chamber of Commerce in partnership with SXSW. The A-List Awards recognize Austin’s most promising, cutting-edge innovators and emerging startups.

June

In partnership with the Small Business Connexion we launched our app!

July

We were so excited to announce that Apposphere started taking recurring subscriptions from customers from our Skyview product. We also launched Aingine (pronounced like engine), our next-gen technology that connects businesses directly with leads from social media using our artificial intelligence-based lead generation engine.

September

The Apposphere app was launched on the App Store, Google Play, and Amazon AppStore. It allowed our users to use our Aingine to generate leads. Later that month we traveled to Startup Grind in Los Angeles. We were one of the startups selected to exhibit at the conference, co-sponsored by IBM and Google for Entrepreneurs.

October

We hit the road again to travel to San Francisco where Apposphere was showcased in Amazon’s AWS Pop-up Loft.

November

Apposphere had the wonderful opportunity to be featured in a video from Amazon Web Services. It was great exposure for us and BitFusion. You can watch the video below.

2016 was a great year full of expansion, change, and new exciting possibilities for the future of Apposphere. We’re thankful for our community of customers, partners, and our quickly growing team. The year wouldn’t have been so great without your support. Here’s to more noteworthy moments in 2017!
