Is It True That We Don’t Talk Honestly About Money With Our Partners?
Ester Bloom

I blame The Billfold for my off-putting openness about finances with my significant others. One month in and my boyfriend already knows how much I make and that I’m saving for a condo. I might have kept it to myself, but, really, if somewhere on the internet people accept that kind of transparency, why not say it out loud. (That’s terrible advice 99% of the time, don’t do that.)

Also, is it weird I sort of expect that if and when I get engaged to someone, the next day we will sit at the kitchen table, pull up Mint on our respective laptops, and flip them to each other. #financenerd #badromcom
