Speaking of, my budget was amended due to inclement weather. I spent $40 for microbrews, truffle fries, and fancy mac and cheese, because guests mean calories don’t count. Plus $20 (!!) for a small college shirt for the visiting child. And because we didn’t go to the baseball game because of a blizzard, thanks midwestern spring, we went to the mall and I bought makeup ($25)

Total: $85, plus the pricelessness of corrupting youth college loyalties
