Even Those of Us Who Think We’re Saving Enough for Retirement Aren’t Saving Enough
Nicole Dieker

It’s a fluff piece, but it’s definitely true I’m not saving enough in retirement. I got a 3% raise and upped my 401k contribution by 1%, which is a technique I picked up from Nudge (highly recommend if you haven’t read it). I will continue to put 1/3 of a raise % into 401k until the IRS tells me I’ve maxed out. This is all predicated on the fact that a)I have an income level at which I can save, b)my work offers a 401k, c)I get raises and d) nothing unexpected has happened to me or my cats in the last year.
