Reaching out to HR Professional to practice Equip and Real

On 24 July 2016 Sunday we had a great brainstorm about the questions that we ask to HR Professional. As Hajira Riaz had done Internship in Nishat Mills so that she take responsibility to make us meet HR of that company. But afterwards due to HR’s busy schedule and short time our meeting had canceled and Haijra just ask questions through a short phone call.
Our conversation with Haijra after she did Interview with HR professional.
Hajira: As I took an interview of HR at Nishat Mills Limited (Power Plant) and my experience was very good. She gave me interview on call and HR was very polite and cooperative. She listened me attentively and then she answered my questions very well.
Now, I am going to share my experience with you.
I asked following questions from her which is as follows:
How important do you think it is to be yourself in an interview?
She replied: It’s certainly true that you should be yourself rather than telling them what you think they want to hear, but that doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t prepare. Thoroughly preparing and practicing for an interview is one of the best ways to do well in them. So, according to her it is very important to be yourself rather than faking or telling things which you have not done or showing yourself which you are not.
How do you identify if a candidate is real or not during the interview?
She replied: If a candidate is doing hand touching, face touching, arms crossing and leaning away this will indicate us that candidate is not real and he is trying to tell us something which is not present in him.
What suggestions you may have on how to be fully prepared/ equipped for an interview?
She replied: good appearance, don’t be overconfident, talk to the point, speak from the heart, don’t contradict yourself, come with full preparation, you should be mentally prepared for the questions which might ask in interview.
The main take away I found from this interview is:
Being real is very important and as we are presenting ourselves.
So, we must be professional while presenting ourselves in front of the recruiter.
Confidence matters a lot.
If we are mentally prepared for an interview it will help us.
We must be prepared for the questions which might ask by the recruiter.
We should know about the job description and know how about the company for which we are going to give interview.
