Eat that Frog with a Pomodoro
Sometimes, procrastination cause too many problem to complete a task because, as we go close to the deadline, the stress increases which I think reduces the whole efficiency as we need to do more work in less time. It also used to happen with me sometimes as well. However, it’s my habit that I plan what to do, before starting work on a task but, I did not prepare lists for that. Similarly when I have to work on that task, I work for certain time period (i.e. 2 hours) and then take a small break, however I did not set any timer for that. And now, I’ve come to know that this technique is called “Pomodoro”, in which you set a timer for 25 minutes and in those 25 minutes, you just focus on your work by ignoring all other distractions. After 25 minutes you take a small break as a reward to relax yourself and then get back to work and repeat the process until you complete your whole task.
Personally, this technique is very helpful to get thing done in proper way. I used this technique to complete my online courses of Amal Fellowship. My experience was really amazing and the good thing is, as these small breaks make you feel easy and relaxed, you never get bored and easily concentrate on work again. However, one thing to consider is that take SHORT breaks of 10–15 minutes, otherwise you may find difficulty to concentrate and get back to work.
