Rawalpindi is the fourth largest city of Pakistan. It’s also called twin City of Islamabad the capital of Pakistan. This city was made at the time of British rule. The boundaries are made in 1904. When the Attock district was separated.

In early days, it’s name was “ village of Rawals”. The Hindu Yogi’s apparently lives in Rawalpindi. They are known as Rawals. On their names the area was known as village of Rawals. And pindi meaning “specific three Hindu temple”.

The name “Rawalpindi” was suggested by Mahmoud of Ghazni. At the time of 11th century. This city is also destroyed by Mongol at 14th century.

There are many languages are spoken in Rawalpindi. Mostly spoken language is national language Urdu. Some people they are migrated from villages. They speak Pahari language. Some speak Pashto. They are emigrated from KPK. Now the elite class people mostly speak English.

The Rawalpindi is present on the Pothohar plateau. This is famous because of twin City Islamabad the capital. Kahuta , Kallar kihar, Kotli sattian , are the main district of Rawalpindi.

The famous Bazaar of Rawalpindi are Saddar , Raja Bazaar and many more.

The famous area of Rawalpindi are crist church, Railway station, Bahria town, and many others.

Like other Pakistani cities, Rawalpindi also have tasty and spicy famous food . Chicken karahi mutton karahi , qorma, Biryani, pulao, and chicken Tikka are famous food of Rawalpindi.
